Mandarin Cuisine, nestled in Needham, MA, is a delightful fusion of nostalgia and culinary excellence that transports diners back to the charm of traditional Chinese dining. Patrons rave about the crispy fried dishes and the outstanding flavors that make each meal memorable. Emily Patrick was particularly impressed by the “amazing” lunch experience, highlighting the restaurant's stellar service and affordable prices—a stark contrast to fast-food alternatives. The ambiance reflects an old-school vibe reminiscent of the 70s and 80s, as noted by both Joe Healy and Marilyn Cuba. Their enthusiasm for the delectable, fresh dishes like shrimp with lobster sauce and generous portions of orange chicken showcases the restaurant's commitment to quality. Morissa also found the sesame tofu a standout, with a perfect balance of crispiness without the heaviness of excess breading. Families appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness, making it suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. Brenda P couldn't help but commend the attentive staff and the restaurant's kid-friendly environment, which does not compromise on elegance. Overall, Mandarin Cuisine is more than just a meal; it’s a community hub where delicious, high-quality food and a warm atmosphere converge. Whether you're revisiting classic favorites or exploring healthier options, it guarantees a gratifying experience time and again.

We stopped in for lunch and this was amazing. Crispy fried, greasy, flavorful, salty. Great service, quiet atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. I’ll never do Panda Express again when a great small business is right here. Thanks for an excellent meal.

Very old school 80’s-90’s vibe. The food was exceptional, tasty, fresh, generous, well priced!! I was left in awe Can’t wait to return!!! If you like old school Chinese restaurant vibes with food to match, don’t think twice about coming here!! You’ll be elated that you did!

This was like stepping into a 70's Chinese food restaurant. The decor alone is worth the trip. The appetizers were solid, especially the teriyaki. I also enjoyed the shrimp with lobster sauce. If you are looking to go to an old school Chinese restaurant with a very relaxing atmosphere, this is the place.

Great find. The food seemed high quality and was flavorful but did not seem to be overdone with MSG. The sesame tofu was just the right amount of crispy and not overly breaded like some tofu dishes in Chinese restaurants. I appreciated the colorful, creative designs in the restaurant. We also appreciate that healthy, low cal options have a section on the menu and we look forward to trying them when dieting in the future. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Thanks for the great experience!

I loved how fresh the food tasted! The orange chicken and cream rangoons were our favorite. The staff was very nice and even fixed something for me. A very clean place and restrooms. Kids friendly but elegant too. We definitely recommend!

“Good vibes” We have been coming here for years . Today was just special it being Valentine’s Day . The food is delicious and tastes fresh . I really enjoyed my time here . The waiter was so nice and attentive. It wasn’t too crowded on Valentine’s Day before 5:00 pm. I am sure it will get more crowded later . The food is just too good for it not too . The prices are reasonable for the quality and food portions. They have a big parking lot so parking should not be an issue.

I’m a huge fan of places like these. To the uptight snob who claimed the place isn’t “modern” enough, seriously get over yourself. That’s the entire charm. American Chinese staples (which honestly are more American than hamburgers at this point) served in a chill and kitschy but clean atmosphere. I actually really like the vibe. The food is the expected mix of sweet/spicy/sour that you’d expect - but thankfully not over-fried or all vegetable filler. I came for a quiet lunch but defintely would be great for a family dinner. This is really the kind of east coast Chinese restaurant I miss living out West. We’ve got nothing like it and it’s a shame. The food was flavorful and the service was quick and friendly. Total recommend.

I have been going here since I was a baby. Their Chinese food is the BEST in Needham imho. The staff members are all wonderful and attentive and the atmosphere is foreign and interesting. My best memories are having family style meals with my grandparents and parents here.
